House of bricks

 Hi and welcome to another blog post. Today I made a google doc about house of bricks. House of bricks is a Lego competition about making and creativity. We basically we build towers, cars and all sorts of stuff. 

I hope you enjoy.

My favourite Lego activity was the racing car’s because we had

to work with a partner and we got to build a fast car with Legos. It was really easy but for

others it was really hard. After we built the car we tested it and then we got to race and

see which one got further and we were 5th place.

My least favourite Lego activity was mosaics

because we had to build pattern and we did not know

what to do and they were pieces that were hard to get off but Luckily we had a tool to take

them off but it was hard to use.

It was also fun because my pattern came out good.

The activity that tested my perseverance the most was mosaics

because at first I did not know what to do but after a while I got the hang of it

and then I got good at it. It was hard because I did not know what to make but after I saw

everyone else I thought of something I wanted to make   

The most challenging activity was the tower because we only got

20 mins and we had to do it only with five people in our group but then we teamed

up with the other group so then it was faster to make. We weren't the first but we

were the second. I was so happy. 

I enjoyed working collaboratively with others because if I was stuck

on ideas I could ask my buddy and

they would help me.

How can we stop water and air pollution.

 Hi and welcome to another blog post. Today I made a writing about air and water pollution and how we can stop it. It will say what air pollution is and how we can stop it. It is very important to take care of our environment.

 What is air and water pollution? Well you're about to find out because

I am going to be talking about air and water pollution and how we can fix it.

 When ever you go to a public beach and you see plastic you

might want to pick it up this is why

1. 100 million marine animals die each year from plastic

2. A lot of animals get caught in the water by plastic. 

3. It looks bad at the beach and it can get stinky and if it

4. gets stinky no one will go there.

So if you don’t clean up the sea then animals die and we

won’t have any more of them. 

2. Air pollution.

  

If you think the air is always fresh then you're

wrong because there is a thing called air pollution and I

am going to talk about why it is not healthy for you. 

Air pollution is smoke and gas and it is not very healthy

for lungs and you can die.

People all around the world are suffering because of this so

that’s why I am talking about this. 

We should make people stop smoking and driving cars that involve gas. 

People don’t have enough money to pay

or the hospital so that is why we should stop air and water pollution.

Let’s recap what I said about air and water

pollution. So we should stop people smoking and driving cars

that involve gas because it is better for the environment.

We should clean the beach more because the animals are dying because

of it and if we don’t take care of them then all of the turtles, whales and

fish are going to be gone. We should clean the beach because it can get

stinky and no one will go there.

Fractions

 Hi and welcome back to another blog post.Today we have been learning fractions and to be honest it is kind of easy all you have to do is learn your times tables and your addition and it only took a week to do it.I have made a pic a path it is like a game but math it is about fractions.This how you play the game.You first read the question and then you pick a number of witch on is right then you pick that number and it will either say that you are right or wrong.You can play mine.

Trip recount

 Hi and welcome back to another blog post.Today I am going to tell you what we did last week we went to three different rotation.I am not going to tell you the tree rotations cause I wrote it in a document But I have to say the writing is really long so you have read fast if you want to but you don't have to.

This is what I have done .

On Thursday my hub and I went to Margaret Mahy to look at the mats and feed the tuna. We also went to  Victoria square.I like Margaret Mahy because the playground was fun and also there are a lot of interesting things I can play with and look at and be active. It is just really cool, amazing and fun. 

My favourite part of the trip was when I got feed the tuna and I also liked when we got to go on the waka and ride it in the water but my hand was kind of tired after.

Something I learnt at Margrete Mahy is that I never knew that the black line around the playground was a written song. It also has cool pictures  that represent NZ.Like there were Māori footprints.

The thing I found the most interesting was the mats. They had cool patterns and they also had different meanings to them and I only remembered one of them and that was family. There were 13 of them there but we did not find them all. 

This trip has helped me with my PBL because I learnt a lot about these three rotations.What I learnt from victoria square was the stone table was a sharing table that they used in the olden days and it was rock hard.

Margret Mahy 

At margaret Mahy we did a scavenger hunt and we have to find what was one the paper we could only look on the playground and around it was hard cause it was all Māori.then we got to play for a bit before are next activity but we also did a hunt for native plants we found a lot of them.

Mats and Tuna 

When I was about to feed the tuna I was really scared because Tuna are called eels and eels are scary for me but I was brave to do it but then when the eels ate the it food they did a big gulp and they moved the spoon but good thing the spoon didn't fall in the water or else I would of had to pick the spoon up with my bear hands next is the mat’s.The mat’s are really cool they have different patterns and different meanings one of them are family.And there are 13 mat’s around NZ but we did not find all of them but we found a lot.

Waka

When I saw the waka I was so excited but nervous at the same time.But when we were learning how to get to get the right position.When it was time to go on the boat and ride it on the water I was really really nervous because I thought I was going to fall in the water but I thought wrong because it was not wobbly at all it was still but when they let go of the boat it was scary. Then I was ok. After a few minutes my arm was a little bit tired.

Victoria Square 

After we finished we went to Victoria Square.It was really nice and pretty and they had lots of Pou they looked really cool and there two statues one of them was Captain Cook that was the first one that discovered NZ and then Queen Victoria.There was this big fountain that looked like a dandelion it was pretty.      

Bully free weeks

 Hi welcome back to another blog post. Today this week is bully free week for us.Bully free week is how we learn to not bully other people and we also learn of how to treat people the same way that we treat are family and there is a lot more that we learned and I am not going to tell you all of the stuff that I learnt.

Today I created this Māori google drawing and there is this word that I had to right what it meant ok so there is this word called whakatauki and it is the  English meaning. It is we are all in this together but we had to learn what the meaning for the english on.
